Class Teams and Notebooks
Introduction:
OneNote Class Notebooks and Microsoft Teams are automatically generated from the school timetable and your students will be added and removed as they are assigned to classes in Edval. After a student is removed, their section will remain accessible to the assigned teachers.
Assigned teachers will be automatically added to but not removed from Teams and Class Notebooks to ensure they retain access to their materials and can be manually added to the class if needed.
When are class Teams and Notebooks created?
Teams and class notebooks will be created immediately upon the release of class lists from the schools’ respective administrations. If you are currently preparing a Class Notebook for your students, you can migrate your existing content to the new system once the class lists are released by following the guides below.
In future, HSC classes will be created a term in advance (that is to say, term 4 of the previous year) so they align with the timing of the course. You and your students will be automatically added to them at that time.
What if I've already created a class?
If you have created your own Class Notebook via onenote.com or CANVAS, you can continue to use this notebook without any loss in functionality, however, should you experience any issues related to permissions or synchronisation, please lodge a helpdesk ticket and the IT team will assist you and your class to migrate all content to the new system.
What about CANVAS Notebooks?
The OneNote integration for CANVAS has been deprecated and should not be used by staff any longer. The 'Class Notebook' tabs have been removed from all CANVAS courses, however, you can still access your Class Notebooks from previous years via https://www.onenote.com
